You also want to be able to trust the companies you buy those products from. That's why our manufacturers and suppliers are working constantly to improve fabrication, maximize on new technology, and above all, ensure you and your family's safety.
As a leader in the online window coverings industry, our products protect consumers from potential hazards with features including:
- Cord stops positioned at the top of the cord when the blinds is fully lowered, preventing cords from being pulled out of a horizontal shade.
- Warning labels from all cords that warn of choking hazards.
- Lift cords on the back of roman shades must be enclosed with a cord shroud.
- Continuous cord loops are inoperable unless the tension devise is installed on roman and roller shades.
- Cord joiners must separate when downward pressure is put on the cords.

CORD SAFETY Protocol
The Window Covering Safety Council encourages parents and child caregivers to check all window coverings for potential cord hazards and make any necessary safety updates.
Install only cordless window coverings in bedrooms and areas where young children sleep.
Any window blinds, corded shades, and draperies manufactured before 2001 should be replaced with products that meet updated safety standards.
Window blinds, corded shades, and draperies manufactured before 2001 can be repaired with retrofit cord kits if replacement is not possible. These kits are available by emailingwindowcoverings.orgor calling 1-800-506-4636.
Cribs, beds, furniture, and toys should be moved away from windows and cords. All window pull cords and inner lift cords should be kept out of children's reach. Pull cords must be kept short and keep continuous-loop cords permanently secured to the wall. Be sure to properly install cord stops and adjust them to limit the movement of inner lift cords.
Whenever horizontal blinds or shades are lowered, lock them into position, even when they rest on the window sill.
Included with all window coverings that have lift cords, used to anchor cords to the wall, out of reach of children and pets.
